Happy new year everyone ! May the year 2010 be happier than last year was !

That being said, I've made sure to end the year by finishing the last commissions on my list. It took me way too long to work on them because my semester of Master's degree was a lot busier than what I had expected, and I still don't know what to expect from the second semester. That, and the fact that I'm also way too slow for my own tastes. I also feel that my art doesn't match my own expectations yet, and that I still need to train on a certain number of subjects, like composition, perspective, the drawing of buildings and landscapes, etc.

For that reason, I have decided to close commissions for an undetermined period of time. Sorry for those who expected to commission me soon, but I need this time to work on my own artworks and to improve in quality and speed so I can work better on future commussions. Besides, I need a break because I never feel as motivated when working on someone else's request than when I work for myself. And I also want to draw more of Metaworld, which wasn't truly possible before with my commissions to work on.

By the way, looks like the 30,000 pageviews are drawing near, don't forget to look regularly if you want to catch the kiriban !

I should have written this journal for quite a while but never found the time to do so. As you may have guessed, I've been rather busy lately, mostly because of tons of homework and exams coming soon. That means I haven't had a single second for art lately, even less for commissions. It should be over by December 18th, the end of my exams, but until then, don't expect to see anything new from me, sadly. I'll make sure to finish my commissions as soon as I can and draw lots during my holidays, promise !
